Matt is originally from the Rochester, NY area (what he affectionately calls “Western New York”). He attended Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s in finance. In his time at Canisius, he had the opportunity to serve on the Golden Griffin Fund, which is an investment fund managed by a select group of students; this was the beginning of his career in finance. After a few years of working in corporate finance with Citigroup and Farm Credit East, Matt made a transition to college ministry, where he could combine his passion for faith and people.
He spent five years with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) where he mentored teams of missionaries and college students, which eventually led him to Philadelphia. These roles provided him with many valuable experiences in leadership, team-building, and personal development, where he saw the importance of communication and integrity in all aspects of life. In this time, he also met his wonderful wife, Meaghan, who is a native Mainer and continues working with the non-profit organization.
In 2020, he transitioned back to the financial industry when he joined Equitable Advisors in Philadelphia. Matt views his practice as a mission, where he accompanies families in taking the next simple step in their financial picture. He also has a passion for helping individuals and families invest according to Christian Values and brings a focus to this in his practice. In 2021, he and his wife moved to Greensboro, NC to be closer to family and focus on building one of their own. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, his Catholic Faith, and athletics.
