Dillon was raised in North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte in a small town called Harrisburg. After high school, he moved to Raleigh and attended North Carolina State University. At NC State, he earned two bachelor’s degrees in Entrepreneurship and Accounting while simultaneously playing Linebacker on the varsity football team. Upon graduation, he began his career as a financial professional. He chose this route based on his experience of watching his family struggle during the financial crisis of 2007-2009. His career goal is to help others avoid the common pitfalls our community faces on a daily basis while working with his clients to guide them towards financial success.
Dillon began his career at Equitable in 2014 due to the collaborative nature Equitable offers and their holistic approach they provide to assist their clients. After a few years in the business, Dillon was fortunate enough to be recognized by Equitable Advisors as the top new Financial Advisor in Raleigh in both 2017 and 2018. This recognition was based on his financial planning practice’s reputation of high quality client service as well as the size of his practice.
In 2017, he began to focus on building a team of advisors using the same financial planning process and systems that he uses with his own clients. Now, he personally hires, trains, and develops new incoming advisors on how to enter in this industry and launch their own careers as financial advisors.
In 2018, Dillon help launched Oakbridge Financial Group as a Founding Partner. This team has rapidly grown in many areas and built a strong reputation within the community. His main role today is to serve his clients and continue growing the firm. He has taken the lessons learned from his vast experience and applied them to his business.
Dillon has earned many prestigious awards like the Centurion Award and Management Leadership Award. These were earned due to his work with clients all over the country and his impact in growing a successful financial planning team that has developed into one of the top teams in the country. He is well known for his vision & ideas, execution of initiatives, passion, and team first mentality.
When not working, Dillon enjoys spending time with friends, his dogs, and playing or watching different sports. He is engaged within the community by working with various youth sports teams, volunteers his time at several different charitable organizations, and is involved with his local church.
